Interior Design Trends To Look For In 2025

The start of a new year brings with it many new changes and trends. For us in the RE business (and we know many of you too), the most exciting is new interior home designs! This year interior design is embracing a perfect blend of sustainability, technology, and timeless elegance.

Here are the top trends that will shape the spaces we live in:

  1. Sustainable Materials and Biophilic Design

Eco-conscious living is at the forefront of interior design with natural materials like bamboo, cork, and reclaimed wood being used throughout the home. Biophilic design, which incorporates plants and natural elements, will continue to thrive, promoting well-being and a deeper connection to nature.

  2. Smart Homes and Technological Integration

The smart home connection will continue into 2025 by continuing to integrate tech with everyday living. Smart appliances, lighting systems, and home automation will become even more seamless, offering convenience, energy efficiency, and enhanced comfort. Expect tech that blends discreetly into your home's design.

  3. Warm, Earthy Tones

Neutral palettes will evolve with the addition of rich, earthy hues like terracotta, deep browns, and mustard yellows. These warm tones add a cozy, inviting feel to spaces, moving away from the cool, minimalist greys of past yeas.

  4. Curved Furniture and Soft Lines

Soft, organic shapes into focus, replacing sharp edges and rigid structures. Curved sofas, circular coffee tables, and organic forms will create a relaxed, approachable atmosphere in living rooms and beyond.

  5. Maximalism and Layered Personalization

While minimalism is still relevant, maximalism is making a comeback. People are embracing personal style by layering bold patterns, colors, and textures. More art, collectibles, and unique furniture pieces will give homes a distinct, personalized touch.

Homes will begin to have a more "lived-in" vibe.

  6. Wellness Spaces

Home design will continue to prioritize mental and physical well-being, with supporting relaxation and self-care. Home gyms, meditation rooms, and spa-like bathrooms with steam showers or soaking tubs will be common in 2025.

We can't wait to see all the beautiful freshly designed spaces!
