Has the summer boredom hit your house too?! Get those kids out of the house (and wear them out too) with these 5 local hikes, that are sure to be kid approved!
1.) Skookum Flats, Enumclaw
This hike is 4.2 miles long, and mostly flat. Bonus: there's a water fall at the end!
2.) Little Mashel Falls, Eatonville
You can begin this 5 mile hike from Small Wood park & then follow the signs. Bonus: there's lots of bald eagles in the area!
3.) Oxbow Loop Trail, Snoqualmie
This 1.8 mile loop follows the Snoqualmie river. Bonus: great hike for younger kids!
4.) Whittaker Wilderness Peak, Issaquah Alps- Cougar Mountain
This hike is 3 miles long, with a mild elevation gain. This train follows a old logging road. Bonus: lots of boulders for the kids to climb!
5.) Snake Lake, Tacoma
There are a variety of trails to explore on this 70 acre preserve. Bonus: check out the nearby Tacoma Nature Center!
